Romeos punishment was indeed, severe enough because Tybalt just killed Mercutio which was Romeos best friend and Romeo killed Tybalt out of self defense and revenge. Also Romeo was trying to prove to Tybalt that Romeo wasn't just some lousy boy and he could fight and protect his friends just as good as Tybalt could so they fought and Romeo ended up killing Tybalt. "Thou wretched boy, that didst consort him here, Shalt with him hence."(Act 3, scene 1) This quote describes what Tybalt is saying to Romeo which makes Romeo mad and then they start fighting and Romeo ends up killing Tybalt. That is why Romeo's punishment was severe enough. Stephanie Mondik

Upholding the law
Romeo in Romeo and Juliet had an unfair punishment because he killed Tybalt in self defense, he was too upset about Mercutio's death, and the government would have sentenced Tybalt to death. If Romeo did not kill Tybalt, Tybalt would have killed him. Tybalt said "Thou wretched boy, that didst consort him here, shalt with him hence" (III, i, 126-127). This suggests that Tybalt wants Romeo to follow Mercutio to his grave. Consequently, Romeo was upset about Mercutio being murdered. Romeo elucidates that he is angry, "Alive, in triumph, and Mercutio slain. Away to heaven respective lenity, and fire-eyed fury be my conduct now" (III, i, 118-120). Moreover, the government would have sentenced Tybalt to death, Romeo just did it for them. Prince says "Romeo slew him, he slew Mercutio. Who now the price of his dear blood doth owe" (III, i, 178-179). The government implies that Romeo could not be killed for Tybalt's death because Tybalt would have been killed anyway. Romeo should have never been punished for killing Tybalt in self defense and upholding the law.

Romeo's Punishment Just or Unjust?
In William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet Romeo's punishment is fair because Tybalt killed Mercutio, Romeo fled the scene, and Romeo added to the violence.
For example Tybalt killed Mercutio, "Tybalt under Romeo's arm thrusts Mercutio in..."(III, I, 85-86)
Tybalt murdering Mercutio clarifies how Romeo's banishment is fair. Tybalt was a murderer and Romeo gave him his sentence informally and before a trial so Rmeo would deserve banishment but not death.
Despite Romeo killing a murderer he still fled the scene, "Romeo, away, be gone, The citizens are up, and Tybalt slain!" (III, I, 138-139) Romeo fleeing mekes him unable to defend himself or give clarification making him seem as though he has done more than kill Tybalt. Because of his feleeing and not giving clarification banishment seems fair enough because he may have done more.
Romeo added to the already strenuous violence, "...Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean..." ( prologue I, i, 4) There is already much violence conveyed between the two houses and Romeo added on to it. In order to lower the amount of violence banishment would help and would not involve another death.
The preceding factors give evidence on why Romeo's punishment was fair and not greater or lesser.

Romeos unfair punishment.
In William Shakespeares book ( Romeo and Juliet) Romeo kills Tybalt since Tybalt killed Mercutio.
The punishment Romeo is getting is not fair. Because, Tybalt wanted to fight it was his idea and he killed Mercutio when he was supposed to fight with Romeo so technically its not Romeos fault he raged and attacked Tybalt.Although Romeo did not start the fight Tybalt did Romeo was only trying to get revenge for his friend Mercutio.Clearly Romeo never wanted to start a fight with Tybalt since he is the husband of Tybalts cousin ( Juliet) but he fought because he got mad Tybalt slaughtered Mercutio. On the other hand, Romeo has lived all his life in fair Verona it is his home.
" Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee doth much excuse the appertaining rage to such a greeting: villain am I none, therefore farewell. I see thou knowest me not" Act 3 Scene 1.

Romeo's punishment
Romeo managed to kill the Capulet tybalt in act of revenge for killing mercutio. Once the prince found out he decided to banish romeo for his violent act. Personally i agree with the princes decision. Although he did kill tybalt. he brought his own death upon himself. By killing mercutio because romeo wouldn't fight him, in romeos revenge he fought tybalt and avenged mercutios death. So since it wasn't just a act of hate and being aggressive romeo got punished with banishment, but was a bit of a cry baby about it. "Banishment? How can one be banished from there love", this is what romeo was saying to the frier after he learned he was going to be banished. Instead of death romeo was given a better punishment, and got lucky it wasn't death. So yes being banished from his love is good enough.
Romeo's Fair Treatment
Romeo's punishment is fair. He did kill Tybalt, consequently the prince sentenced him to banishment from Verona. Benvolio suggests, "Romeo, away, be gone, the citizens are up, and Tybalt slain! Stand not amazed. The Prince will doom thee death if thou art taken. Hence, be gone, away!" Romeo only killed Tybalt because he just killed Mercutio, his best friend. Despite his actions, Romeo's whole life is in Verona because of Juliet, banishment is worse than death for him. No one should have their life taken away which is why this treatment is fair. He should be grateful the prince was merciful.
Romeos punishment fair or unfair?
I think that Romeos punishment of being banished is completely fair. In fact he should have died. An eye for an eye is how I see it, or in this case one life for another life. Romeo should be thankful that he is still alive, and not joining Tybalt in the ground. The prince was too easy on him. Romeo still gets to enjoy everything in life just somewhere else. the only thing that he is missing out on is family, which can just move with him. Romeo killed another human being, so Romeo should die too.
Romeos Punishment was fair
Romeo being banished was fair. He acted upon the Princes statement. Romeo and built up rage from past events. Tybalt and Romeo always had disagreements and they hate each other because they are of different families. When Tybalt killed Mercutio Romeo did not have to interfere, he could have let the prince deal with him. Instead Romeo snapped and went to find Tybalt and kill him. Romeo's Punishment was fair and he deserved what he got.
The Struggle
I believe that it was fair that Romeo was banished. Considering that he was causing issues and conflicts within the city of Verona. A Montague loving a Capulet was too much violence for this town. Giving Romeo the death penalty would be a little extreme. He deserves a second chance, he couldn't help who he fell in love with. Though Romeo murdered Tybalt, he doesn't deserve revenge. Banishing Romeo to another city would be the proper appropriate thing to act on. The more kills the more conflict, and that is what they are trying to get rid of by sending Romeo away. Juliet loves Romeo so will she think anything they do to Romeo is fair? Probably not but its because they are in love. I am going to predict that Juliet runs with Romeo, and they live in another town together. Romeo's punishment is fair because he deserves a second chance, he killed out of emotions, and he fell in love with the wrong last name. Romeo is probably struggling with having to leave his wife, but its the right thing to do for everyone. Hopefully she follows him, because this is a strong thing for him to do. It shows character. No matter what Romeo and Juliet will always find a way to be together, whatever that means, takes, or requires they will do what they need to do. So Romeo got the easy way out, but he doesn't really know it yet. Romeo got a fair punishment, banishment. "Women may fall when there is no strength in men", (Act 11).
"My only love sprang from my only hate", (Act 1, Scene 1).
"My only love sprang from my only hate", (Act 1, Scene 1).
Romeo's Punishment
In the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare I think Romeo's punishment is not fair. First of all, Tybalt killed Mercutio, thus enraging Romeo and making Romeo want vengeance so he killed Tybalt making it fair because one person from each house died so its even. The book describes "Alive, in triumph, and Mercutio slain. Away to heaven respective lenity, And fire-eyed fury be my conduct now! Now Tybalt, take the Villian back again that late thou gav'st me, for Mercutio's soul is but a little way above our heads, Staying for thine to keep him company. Either thou, or I, or both must go with him."(Act III, Scene 1, Line 120-125) This shows that Romeo is mad and wants vengeance for Tybalt killing his friend. Second, Its like an eye for an eye, therefore If Tybalt kills Mercutio than Tybalt has to die for it. Last, Romeo is only banished because Montague said to the prince "That's what you would have done.", making the Prince think that is an offense, he punishes Romeo for it. In conclusion, all these reason make up for why Romeo shouldn't be punished for what he has done to Tybalt.
Was Romeo's Punishment Fair? OR Not?

Yes, Romeo's punishment is fair. This is so because he wasn't in the first fight in Act I. "O where is Romeo, saw you him today? Right I'm glad he was not at this fray." (Act I,i, 110-115) This quote ignites the idea that Romeo was not at the fight in act 1. His punishment is also fair to me because although he killed Tybalt, it was out of anger, and was his first kill. The prince was kind and took this into consideration that if Romeo were to kill another then indeed he would be sentenced to death, but instead he was kind and only banished Romeo. Nevertheless Romeo's banishment was fair because he is a good kid, or a peaceful guy.
YES
Romeo's punishment was fair because if the prince wanted to, he could have had him executed. He could be dead. another reason it was fair is because he would be able to see Juliet. if he was dead, he would not be able to see her ever again. the last reason is because any other person would have been executed because murder is illegal, Romeo was spared."hold thy desperate hand. Art thou mad!?" (III,III,112-113) Even the priest thinks Romeo got extremely lucky.

Romeo is a mix signaled person. When we first meet him he is very depressed and upset that his thought to be only true love, Rosalyn doesn't love him back. He is very clingy and as soon as he sees Juliet he immediate falls in love with her. He because somewhat rebellious falling for a Capulet. In my opinion, romeo is a very caring and romantic guy. He seems to have all the girls falling for him and he seems like a very caring guy. Although at sometimes i feel he is to clingy and moves on to quick. For example at the party, he followed Juliet everywhere until he finally got to meet her.
Romeo is a hands over heels kind of guy. He falls for girls easier then he should, and becomes addicted. Romeo is clingy to girls he does not know how to take things slow with them. "If my heart's dear love" (98 Shakespeare). This proves he falls for girls easy because he was just saying this about another women. He gets what he wants. He is a crybaby, because if he can't have them no one can. I for one am definitely not a fan of Romeo because he is a very creepy type of person, he is to straight forward with things and he shouldn't be. No i do not identify with him in anyway what soever. He wants to get it in right when he meets them. " Sleep dwell upon thine eyes, peace in thy breast! Would i were sleep and peace, so sweet to rest!
Hence will i to my ghostly sire's close cell, His help to crave and my dear hap to tell.
Hence will i to my ghostly sire's close cell, His help to crave and my dear hap to tell.
Romeo is a boy who is in love with this girl named Juliet and they have been meeting like all the time and all they do is like make out and it's like the nasty make outs. To me it seems like they are exchanging saliva. Romeo's character is suppose to be romantic but he's just cheesy (in my opinion). Romeo is not a fighter and he doesn't like violence which is nice. He is into kindness and sweet stuff which is fine but the thing is he falls for pretty women very easily and they may be pretty on the outside but you don't know how they are on the inside. He just met Juliet and he's saying that love brought him to her room window, like NO! Dude I understand if you're in love with someone but you can't love someone you just met. I'm not saying I dislike him, but I just dislike the stuff his character does.
Rome is a romantic guy that cares a lot about love. He is in love with Juliet and she is in love with him. Rome climbs over walls just to see her and listen to her talk. I believe that Rome is a caring boy and he would do anything for the one he loves or the people he loves such as his family. " Is she a Capulet? That's bad news! Now best of the party." (Rome) Romes friends make fun of him that he is in love but, his friends don't know that he is not in love with Juliet. And I think that they should be supportive to Rome for the way that if they fall in love they will want support not to be made fun of. Rome is cute, romantic, and loyal. He should get the girl he wants because, he would treat that girl right

I think that Romeo as a character is really weird, perverted, odd, and a play. I believe this first because Romeo was talking to Juliet about how kissing her would be better than life. As it states on page 72, lines 91-109, Act one Scene 5. He said things like "My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss". is basically saying that Juliet will feel amazing and satisfied by a kiss or kisses given by him, as if his lips were saviors.

i think that romeo is the creepiest person I have ever read about ever read about. Romeo wants this girl that he met like less than an hour ago. hes very clingy obsessed person when it comes to women. Romeo climbs over the wall just to find Juliet, when Juliet asks Romeo how he got over the wall he told her that love carried him over the wall. how did he find her Juliet asks, Romeo says "love guided me to your window". As Juliet talks to her self before she even notices Romeo, he gets this kind of pleasure when he hears her talk.romeo says " yes, please talk again i love hearing your voice". tell me that's not creepy. As the story goes on and they continue to talk
So far, Romeo is very emotional and love struck. His emotions are very bold and he makes his depression very obvious to his family. He is a very sensitive person and doesn't take bad news very well. When he found out that Rosaline had sworn to never marry, he became sad and would lock himself away in his room almost every day. I think that he is just like any other human being and his feelings are what most of us would feel if we couldn't be with the person of our dreams. However, he moved too quickly to Juliet and never got a chance to see that he would get over Rosaline. He was too quick to be in a relationship and he moved too fast with Juliet. He never truly got over Rosaline, he just ignored his feelings for her and took to falling for Juliet, despite knowing her for a few short hours. He was speaking to himself about how his heart had never loved until he saw Juliet. He claimed that he had loved her, though he didn't know that she was the daughter of his sworn enemy. I don't dislike Romeo, but I don't like how he immediately fell for Juliet before even knowing who she was, or even what age she was. He was too desperate for love that he swayed a young girls emotions to meet his and married her within a day of "loving" her.

I think Romeo's character is weird, poetic, awkward, and annoying. I can see he's annoying by the way his friends mock him whenever he talks about love or stupid stuff that they think is weird. I don't like Romeo because love is stupid and he should really shut up cause he's single. But you know, that's how i feel. Romeo seems kind of awkward because he creeps on Juliet even though she's okay with it. If someone ever randomly showed up at my house like Romeo I would simply get the shotgun ya feel? Romeo is really poetic which is shown in the following quote,
"With love's light wings did I o'erperch these walls,
For stony limits cannot hold love out,
And what love can do, that dares love attempt:
Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me."

Thoughts on romeo
I think romeo is like all teen boys because we all don't know what we want and if you see a good-looking girl you already think that you are in love even though you don't know them. I think that because of what happen at the party and when he just meet her and already said he loved her and kissed her and have plains to get married. I think he is like any guy that in the age group and see a good-looking girl and want to be with them and kiss them even though you don't know them. I like him. I like him because we both have a super good mack game and know how to talk to girls even if we don't know them. He sounds like he is a leader the way that he talks.

Romeo is described by being a peace-loving, love at first sight, and an emotional person. He is more on the peaceful side while his family fight against the Capulets. He thinks love is more important than it is to war. "Alas, that love whose view is muffled still should without eyes see pathways to his will." Romeo is a love at first sight type of guy. He fell in with Rosaline then he saw Juliet at first sight. "O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright." Romeo fell deeply in love with Juliet when he first saw her. Romeo is a very emotional person about his actions and words. "Why such is love's transgression. Griefs of mine own lie heavy in my breast, which thou wilt propagate to have it pressed with more of thine." Romeo has lots of expression and meaning into his action, words, and love.
Romeo needs to make up his mind.
In the beginning of the play we saw Romeo was very heartbroken because the girl, Rosaline, who he was in love with is becoming a nun. Romeo says, "Ay me, sad hours seem long. Was that my father that went hence so fast?" That quote basically meaning he is very gloomy and depressed. When I first met Romeo I felt bad for him but later on when I found out he fell in love with Juliet I was not to fond of him. I wasn't to fond of him because he just saw one girl from across the room and now he is in love with her and he was so heartbroken over Rosaline and easily got over Rosaline which I think is just ridiculous considering how depressed he was. I identify him as dramatic. I think he is very dramatic because he would always complain about how bad he loved Rosaline then he lost her and how he still loves her. Then in less than 10 minutes he is suddenly in love with Juliet so he would over exaggerate how depressed her was

So far Romeo is a very thrill seeking person he as well is very desperately in love with Juliet and cant seem to care about any other person. " With loves light wings did I o er perch these walls, for stony limits cannot hold love out, And what love can do, that dares love attempt: Therefore thy kinsmen are no stop to me. ( page 86) My reaction to Romeo is that he is very daring person so it made very interested in his personality and then soon did I take a liking to him, I was also intreged that

Romeo is Captivated by Juliet
Character
Analysis
Romeo
and Juliet
by William Shakespeare is above two young, lovestruck teens. Romeo
is infatuated with Juliet because he always talks of her as the most
beautiful girl he's seen. When Romeo first saw Juliet during the
Capulet's party, he said to himself, “O, she doth teach the torches
to burn bright. It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night as a rich
jewel in an Ethiop’s ear – beauty too rich for use, for earth too
dear. So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows as yonder lady o’er
her fellows shows. The measure done, I’ll watch her place of
stand, and touching hers, make blessed my rude hand. Did my heart
love till now? Forswear it, sight. For I ne’er saw true beauty
till this night,” (Shakespeare Act 1 Scene 5 Page 2). He feel in
love as soon as he saw her, he knew nothing about her. Also, he went
to Juliet's balcony and said, “She
speaks. O speak again bright angel, for thou art as glorious to this
night, being o’er my head, as is a winged messenger of heaven unto
the white-upturned wondering eyes of mortals that fall back to gaze
on him when he bestrides the lazy-pacing clouds and sails upon the
bosom of the air,” (Shakespeare Act 2 Scene 2 Page 2 ). He's
trespassing on his enemy's land and spying on Juliet talking
about him. The second time Romeo and Juliet see each other, they are
already talking about marriage,
“Three
words, dear Romeo, and good night indeed. If
that thy bent of love be honorable,Thy purpose marriage, send me word
tomorrow by one that I’ll procure to come to thee where and what
time thou wilt perform the rite,And all my fortunes at thy foot I’ll
lay and follow thee my lord throughout the world” (Shakespeare Act
2 Scene 2 Page 6). Romeo and Juliet are taking the relationship way
to fast, after the first day they know each other they are planning
on marrying each other. Romeo is just getting carried away with this
romance.
How romance can make a man unsmart. Tam Alkamali
Romeo is a romantic person who is also calm he doesn't like to get into fights he doesn't think maturely like his good friend Bonvolio which gives him good advices on how to move on from love to another romeo takes his friends advice on forgetting about his first love Rosaline whom rejected romeo while he was madly in love with her since she was very beautiful and had a good figure. Romeo finally shows back home when his friend bonvolio in the book talks to him and romeo tells him his been acting depressed and love struck by this lady who broke his heart she doesn't want him/ not interested if romeo was a smart person he would not waste his time on a lady who doesn't want him he would also not get advices on how to move on from Rosaline. My personal reaction towards romeo is that i never knew a man would feel the same way as a girl does when she gets rejected by someone who she really loves at the same time I personally thought that romeo would be a smart man but he wasn't all he cares about is love ,friends, and family. The quote I chose "Be ruled by me, forget to think of her". Bonvolio gives romeo advices on how to move on from girls that reject him since romeo cant think maturely. If romeo was a smart man he would help himself forget about the people he doesn't want to remember.

My Perspective on a Lover
(Isaiah Warnick)
In William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" the character Romeo is a interesting man. I find him to be rather emotional and impulsive. To prove his emotion he says this, "...embellishes night as a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear..."(Shakespeare 68). Romeo says this looking at Juliet and with deep love and emotion. Romeo, showing his impulsiveness says to Juliet, "Then have my lips the sin that they have took". In this scene Romeo is, in a way, telling Juliet to kiss him. These quotes are deeply emotional and impulsive for his love for Juliet proving his character. I personally think he is a man continuously looking for love, and I find him annoying a few times. His consistent want for love, and nothing else for the most part, is displeasing to me because he will act bipolar many times. I do not relate to how he feels whatsoever mainly because I have never experienced something as his situation.

Romeo's character so
far is a love struck, emotional and pacifist older teen. “It was. What sadness
lengthens Romeo’s hours? Not having which, having, makes them short. In love?
Out. Of love? Out of her favor where I am in love.” (Pg 34, Shakespeare) Romeo
falls in and out of love very easily, he was in love with Rosaline, then saw
Juliet and now loves her. “O she doth teach the torches to burn bright.” (Pg 68
Shakespeare) He doesn’t like fighting so he likes peace a lot. He is a
pacifist, “Peace, peace, Mercutio, peace. Thou talk’st of nothing.” (Pg 62
Shakespeare) My personal reaction to Romeo is that he comes off annoying to me.
This is so because he is always falling in love and won’t leave anything alone
until it is his, or if he wants it. “How cam’st thou hither, tell me, and
wherefore? The orchard walls are high and hard to climb, And the place death,
considering who thou art, If any of my kinsmen find thee here. With
love’s light wings did I o’erperch these walls, For stony limits cannot
hold love out, And what love can do, the dares love attempt: therefore thy
kinsmen are no stop to me.” (Pg 86 Shakespeare) This is annoying to me because he
just won’t give up until Juliet is his. I dislike Romeo so far because he can’t
or refuses to give up on his love fantasies.
Romeo is creepy
Romeo so far to me seems like a kind of creepy guy who falls in love and gets attached to people way to fast. He goes to a party looking for somebody else he has fallen in love with and he immediately looks at this very young 13 year old girl and he falls in love with her without even getting to know her. He then sort of stalks her and watches her from behind some bushes as she stands on her balcony and talks to himself about how hot she is. "O Speak again bright angel, for thou art as glorious as this night, being o'er my head, as is a winged messenger of heaven."pg 84 Shakespeare. So, by that, in my opinion, he is creepy, I do not like him because of how mushy and attached he gets so quickly. He literally met Juliet like half an hour ago and they already are trying to get married. He moves too soon, too fast. "O wilt thou leave me so unsatisfied?" pg 90 Shakespeare. In that quote, Romeo basically said that this is not enough and he wants more. I don't like him for that because he is never happy with what he has. He met a random girl at a party he was not even invited to and now he was creepily watching her from the bushes, he should be happy that she did not call for help. That is why i believe that Romeo is very creepy and gets attached to people way too fast.
Character Analysis Romeo
I think that Romeo is love-struck and very emotional. In one of his quotes when he is talking to Benvolio about his love for Razaline He says "Well, in that hit you miss; she'll not be hit with Cupid's arrow, hath Dian's wit, and in strong proof of chastity well armed from love's weak childish bow she lives unharmed. she will not stay the siege of loving terms Nor bid th' encounter of assailing eyes nor ope her lap to a saint-seducing gold; O she is rich in beauty, only poor that when she dies, with beauty dies her store." This quote is showing his love for Razaline and his emotion that he has for her and why he is so depressed. I don't really like him because he is very emotional and very strange and doesn't think before he does something. My reaction wasn't all to surprising because it is a love story and since its a love story, its not hard to guess that he would be emotional. Another quote to show how love-struck he is Romeo says to Juliet the first time they meet "If i profane with my unworthiest hand this holy shrine, the gentle sin is this: My lips, blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss." He is then showing that he wants to kiss her and that shows how love-struck he is and after they kiss and leave he goes and tries to find Juliet even though after he knows that she is Capulet and still intends to go after her because he loves her.
Romeo #3
Romeo is a a love struck, lost guy. He is a man with much emotion, but he "falls" too quick. To put it straight forward, he doesn't know how to control his high maintenance emotion. In the beginning of William Shakespeare's story we hear about Romeo's heartbreak Rosalin, but immediately after he spots Juliet at the party he wants to marry her. He is quick with his eye and his heart runs right after it. I do not think that he has fully developed a relationship that he has been in true love through. He just wants to "bang" and he gets all boggled up inside when he thinks that she might be the one. He hasn't found the one yet, at least i think. “My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.” This quote shows how in depth Romeo gets with his women. “Wisely and slow; they stumble that run fast.” They youth of this story run towards whatever feelings they think they might have, and they act like its true and no one can change their mind!Romeo is just like all the other troubled youth. He can't help that he loves the women!!! He is rebellious for "falling" for a Capulet. He is also creating a rebellious side to Juliet. She never wanted to get married, yet he a Montague, changes her mind so fast. Now she is sneaking out in the night with him, to make out. So i guess we could say that Romeo is a very influential man. He changed Juliet's mind set, he could, would, and will do it again. I would fall for Romeo, because his words and actions are captivating. I cannot blame Juliet for being swept off her feet. I just think that Romeo could be more charismatic with Juliet. He could start off as a gentlemen, instead of asking for "everything" the first night they met. Considering that its a different era, maybe that was sociably acceptable. But to me it looks dirty and unfresh. Romeo has all the equipment just needs a coach...to say the least.
Romeo the emotional wreck
Romeo is a teenager head over heals for Juliet. I don't think he is seen as a threat by a Capulet. " Leave him be, he is no harm here, even though hes a Montague " Chats what Capulet said when to Bolivia when romeo showed up at his party. Romeo is also very clingy, for example and i quote he made these sound effects when climbing over the wall to see Juliet, "uhh oohh grunt grunt meh" Also when he left and she called his name he replied with "Yes my love?!" I do not like romeo i think hes to clingy and hes annoying. hoping that fool gets hit in the throat by a Capulet. Do i identify him? yes some what like if he really believes he found love at first sight then he did. Although he was head over heals for the last girl he was with. So maybe hes just thirsty.

Claim: I don’t think certain people have advantages
when it comes to doing well in competitive sports, or school stuff, or
activities. I don’t think this because no matter who you are where you come
from I think with hard work and effort (to get help in whatever you need help)
a person can succeed at anything they put their mind to. In don’t think its
based off what month you were born in or how rich your family is, everybody has
to put in some work otherwise (I don’t think a person feels accomplished, I
know I wouldn’t) they aren’t hard workers like the rest of their community or
environment.
I don’t think
he thinks people have certain advantages, and if he does then I think he thinks
they don’t deserve them. I agree with him because people work to get wealthy in
anything and he is saying that no matter who your parents are or if you are
wealthy because of them you still have to work. If he does think this then
those specific advantages would be what month you were born in and how physically
more mature than a person who was born a few months after them. This chapter
had me thinking about my daily question but didn’t makes me change my mind on
weather or not people have certain advantages. Some of the sources he used were
the months in which a hockey player was born and that makes them more physically
mature, and what culture you were born in makes you how smart you are. If I were
to say that I agreed with this phenomenon then yes, I would agree that he made
some valid points, but I’m not so I think he is saying that this phenomenon is
untrue and it all depends on how much work you are willing to put into your
goal. Then I am agreeing because that’s how I think our society should work.

Daily
Question 1 Elijah Garcia
Some people
so have advantages when it comes to sports or school. In sports they could have
been playing longer so they are better or they were just born that way. In
school people have a good memory and do better on tests. They may also have
good study habits so they do well in school.
I can relate my daily question to the
Matthew Effect by saying when they were born because people born earlier will
have a better advantage. They will be recruited and the younger ones will not
and they have experience. Related to my daily question older people have a
better advantage to learn than younger people.

“The Matthew Effect” Synthesis
One competitive and goal orientated thing I have done in is playing soccer. Some people have advantages over others because they are more experienced, and bigger than other kids. Other people have lots of practice with the game. But, I believe that some advantages can be gained through hard work and dedication.
After reading “The Matthew Effect,” My response has only gotten stronger. In this part, part one, the book talks about how older kids get more opportunities than younger ones. In schools, the older kids are picked for advanced classes because the teacher thinks they are ahead of the class. In reality, the older kids brains have had more life experiences than the younger kids. This is just like my example because the more experienced you have of a subject, the better you are at the subject. So if you play guitar everyday for 5 years and someone else players every other day for 3 years, you will have more experience and will have more opportunities.
The author of this book, Gladwell, thinks that people will have advantages in life that get them farther in their career. This advantage these people have is simply being older and more experienced at doing something. I would have to agree with Gladwell because sports generally pick the more experienced kids over the others. Gladwell used a list of Canadian hockey players and test scores. These sources are very convincing because the the research about test scores was from economist research and the list of Canadian Hockey players was from a hockey game in Canada. This brings my synthesis to a close.

In the world of dance, coaches/judges have their favorites. This result in
other teams winning because they are “friends” and have a major advantage. Gladwell
strongly believes that certain people have advantages over others. He believes
that children that are older than average in sports or school have a better
chance of being smarter or higher ranked in sports. I 100% agree with him
because I feel that children that are older tend to be smarter and more “grown
up” which tends to have a great effect. It made me realize that maybe it’s not
that teams have advantages over one another but that they just have more
sophisticated members.

When I thought of advantages people have I automatically thought of physical advantages. I wrote in my Daily question, "Some people have more physical advantages that help people be faster, like being skinny and have long legs, being taller, which could potentially help them for some sport like basketball, or having broad shoulder which can help with swimming. Which gives them more advantages physically for sports." My Daily question answer was different from what I read in, "The Mathew Effect," because I thought he would be talking about physical features that help make you better in hockey. When he started talking about birthdays and how the cut off date is January 1st it kind off had to do with physical features. I say that because Gladwell was talking about how they are more mature when the boys are older which makes them bigger and better hockey players.
Gladwells' opinion towards the Daily question would certain people do have advantages especially in hockey, if there birthdays are in January, February, or March which makes them more mature, physically wise, than the younger boys. I do not agree with Gladwell because I don't think a couple of months will do much to help you play better but then again the statistics show that most of the good hockey players are born in the course of those three months. This chapter did make me re-think about different advantages some people have over others. I only thought about the genes you have to be bigger, stronger, and faster and not about when you were born and how that can make you better at sports such as hockey
. Gladwell used statistics on the players birthdays and most were in January, February, and March which he then talked about they were really good hockey players. I think they were convincing sources because they were all from professional hockey teams which means they were good enough to be a professional hockey player in Canada. Also the statistics have all of there numbers and where the play. Therefore, I do think the statistics were reliable. 1

Daily question: Certain people have advantages when it comes to doing well competivialy and other goal oriented activities such as if you have long legs you are more likely to win or run faster, But if you were born competitive than that's an advantage to, all ways want to be the best. This relates to the Matthew Effect because in that chapter it talked about the competitiveness between others,Gladwell's opinion or the Daily Question is that everyone has a certain advantage when it comes to certain activities and Goal Oriented activities. Some of those advantages are if you are older you have advantages to being on team and as well learning faster.I do agree with Gladwell. This chapter didn't change cause me to rethink the Daily Question because I already knew that when it comes to certain people they do have certain advantages and competitiveness. Some of the sources and examples he used was the ages of people and the level of education that each age was capable of. The sources were convening because i was able to prove them.

I am goal oriented in many areas of my life. I set goals in my athletics, to be the best of the game, to be the best competitor I can be is important to me. I set goals in my relationships with people, God, and myself. I think if you are goal oriented you have an advantage. You are more competitive, determined, and motivated than your competition. Some people are born with goals, some people have to find them but in the end we all reached somewhere by making goals.
Gladwells opinion of the daily question is that he believes that if you are talented and goal oriented than you can go anywhere. So people do have advantages, the people that are older are typically smarter or more talented. They have experience under their belt.

A Goal Is What You Do!
One main goal I started to achieve was always earning your full effort of what you do in life. It's simple, let's say you have a project in science, try to amaze them and let them know who you are, and what is it like to be creative. At 6th grade science, I wanted to try something new, something that would make the class love to see and hear, not just with some stupid, crummy, poster-board or useless junk to make a model, I want them to know more about TORNADOES! Yes I said it, tornadoes, I think they are the most mysterious phenomenon on Earth. So, I founded out that in order to create a tornado, use a tornado in a box! Not a cardboard box, but a plexi glass box. Week after week, I spend my time creating facts and PowerPoint with this project. My parents helped me put the box together. We tested it first with a heating plate, a small pot of water, and putted the box, outside of the heating plate. Success!! I had the crowd so amazed over and over again! It was one best achieving goals in my life. In Outliers, it's about whether people success or not in life, were things turn bad into worst, then to the greatest goals in their lives. Then we look at, "The Matthew Affect." Malcolm Gladwell, the author, says about kids playing hockey in The Canada League had to be in certain birth months and age in order to join. But people say it's not fair because of their birth months being a certain amount. I think it's wrong, because who cares even if it effects the schedule of the hockey league? It's not like they have a certain time to be ready or not, it's what children want to become in the future. There is no such thing as "certain amount of time in order reach your goal" thing!
Blog post 2: Synthesis
People have
advantages for everything, but especially activities. When it comes to
activities, there’s endless advantages that people could have. For example,
someone could have longer legs for running faster. Or someone could be more
experienced than you. Anything could make an advantage for something.
In the chapter, “The
Matthew Effect.” There was an advantage. The author explained about a hockey
team and how most of the people on the team had birthdays in January, February,
and March. The advantage about this is that the people with a birthday at the
beginning of the year get more experience since they’ve been on earth a while
longer. The author also explained how one tree hasn’t been intruded or destroyed
while it’s growing. The tree also had the advantage of having better soil, more
sunlight, and avoids being chopped down or ruined. The author was explaining
that the tree was like a person with an advantage. Agreeing with the author,
some people do have advantage weather it was that they were born earlier or
with a feature that helps them. These were convincing sources since that people
really do have advantages like the examples the author explained.
Agreeing With Gladwell
I do think people have advantages in competitive situations and other self-goal oriented activities. Some people have money to hire people to help them and get down the specific formats, other people can figure it out on their own, and others just have to learn on their own. Some might succeed and some might not. Gladwell’s opinion on the daily question is the specific age of the person. The individual may have an advantage by being born in the beginning of the year and others have a disadvantage because they were born late in the year. They have an advantage of being born early because they have started earlier with learning the sport. Gladwell says, “A twelve- month gap in age represents an enormous difference in physical maturity.” (Gladwell 24). I agree with Gladwell because age does have a lot to do with physical maturity. Some people mature fast and others don’t. It has to do with age. Also, the specific month of when they were born helps with them determining what competitive level they are in because of the specific times they started training and learning the formats of the sport and their physical capability of playing the sport. This chapter made me re-think my answer to the daily question because it gave me a new perspective to think form. Now I have my thoughts and logical thoughts. Some examples he used were the charts in the book saying the number, name, position, left or right handed, height, birthdate, and home town of the player. They were convincing sources by showing that the players are born more in January through March then in April through December.

If you
have advantages over some things it can be an advantage and then it can also be
disadvantage. Some people have a Hispanic inheritance and that some of them
able to speak Spanish more fluently and know a little from their parents. Some
people never spoken Spanish in their life so they struggle to do accents and
that gives the Hispanic people more of an advantage over the others. If it is a
competitive advantage such as being taller than others giving you a more of a
speed advantage than the rest of the people. I do not agree with him because I
think that age doesn’t matter to a certain point if you are 20 years old and
you practice basketball your whole life and if you a 40 year old man and you
practiced your whole life that would be an advantage but overall if you both
practice the same but are different aged then age wouldn’t matter. The “Mathew
effect” didn’t really make me rethink my opinion but it did give me some ideas
on what advantages you would gain from being older. He makes an example of
picking a 9 or 10 year old and when he picks them they practice twice as much,
they play more games, and they get better teammates, making them a better
player when they grow up.
Advantages of having Advantages
Daily Question #1
By: Colin LaPlante
Yes, some people have advantages. For example, some people
are born good at school, and therefore get better grades in school. Some people
have loads of money and can bribe people to win at things or can use money to
become famous. Another example, In NFL scouts look at African American males
more than they do Caucasians. People are born very fast, and some people are
born very big. I do think people are born with advantages, because for me I can
jump really far and that is why in Track I am going to be doing the Long Jump.
In the world people have advantages, and certain races get better opportunities.
Some people also are born with big hands, and this can help them in baseball
because it is easier to throw and catch the ball.
Glad well made me think differently about people’s
advantages. He used statistics from sport teams, and how they are all around
the same age. Many of the players were also born in the months of January, February,
and March. The sources were very convincing and it added to my knowledge of
advantages. They were convincing because it made me see that ability is not all
and age can make a huge difference, and if you are very old for your age group
you are more likely to get a better career.

Question 1
Baseball you constantly have to get bigger and better and
improve. If you don’t improve, you will not play because the people who do
improve will eventually improve so much that they are better then you. So you
need to set a goal for yourself to get better and bigger. There are sometimes
unfair advantages because if you were born with small hands, you won’t be able
to throw the ball very well but if you have big hands you are able to throw the
ball a lot better then somebody with smaller hands. Another unfair advantage is
if somebody is just naturally bigger then you they can’t hit the ball as far as
somebody smaller. Another thing is that more professional baseball players were
born in August than any other time. Gladwell would agree with me because he has
also seen that statistics. He also thinks that there are several unfair
advantages to sports. He agrees that there are just some things in sports that you
have no control over such as size, hand size, and birth date.
daily question
Yes people do tend to be different when they have a specific goal they want to achieve because they are motivated to succeed their goal. This sometimes gives people advantages. In the Maxwell affect, gladwells opinion seems like he thinks that people born in certain months are the best. He finds this out when hes referring to hockey. For example he claims that people born in January have a 40% better chance of going to the big leagues. Yes i do agree with him, because in the chart it shows how most of the star players were born in January.

Tigers are Tiggers, Tiggers are Tigers, but not all Tiggers are Tigers
Uniqueness, we all have it. Most in different ways, but it's still there. now my uniqueness is very different from anybody else because I try to be creative, but I'm horrible at it most times, like this prompt, I can't think of anything for it. A few things about myself is that I view myself as crazy. I get this from my mother and my father, my mother is not the good kind of crazy, but my dad is. On a special occasion i can actually get my parents scared about how crazy I am. I mostly only display this craziness at home, but why not at school? I'll tell you why! I'ts because there are just so many students that nobody would even notice it. I hope to be in too many clubs this year while I still have my motivation for school as a freshman. Hopefully I will still have my motivation the next four years. If you can't already tell (from the title) I love tigers. I am a native to Colorado born and raised here, and love the long cold winters and don't like so much the short hot summers.

My Goals for Freshman Year
My goals for freshman year are to get Straight A's and to have lots of fun. To do so, I'm going to do all my homework right when I get home so I can have the rest of the day's time to have fun. One thing in the way of being able to get straight A's is a busy schedule. I think that with this plan I'll be able to achieve my goals.

Amazing Freshman Goals
My goals for freshman year are to not give on so easily on my work. I want to maintain an A or B average in all my classes. This year I also want to become a better student. But my main goal throughout high school is to graduate and get into the college of my dreams.
Homies fa life
Some of my goals for my first year of high school is to do my best in every single one of my courses and to turn in all my work in time to achieve a 4.0 GPA. Something I need to do to reach my goal is probably to sit away from my friends so I don't get distracted easily and so I can be ready for the test. After school activities might hinder me from achieving this since they tire me down and then I get too lazy to do it. I want to earn all my credits by my junior year so I can graduate early.

Funky Fresh
I love to play sports, especially football and basketball. Football is awesome because I love to hit and tackle people, which also relieves me of stress I build up during the day. I enjoy basketball because I like swishing on peoples faces and also breaking their ankles. My goal is to someday become a
pro-player in either of these sports.
My Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Fantastic Freshman Prompt
What makes me unique? There are numerous things that make me unique, for one I grew up in the heart of Michigan. You would probably suggest that i was born in the ghetto, but I was not. I moved from Michigan when I was a few months old to Greenwood, Indiana. Greenwood, Indiana was a small city where you knew the people there pretty well. I lived in there for 10 years of my life so most of my memory's are from there. For example the first time I played football, when i started Kindergarten, and when i had my first pet. I moved to Colorado when I was 12! My life has been full of ups and downs but I choose to make the most of it
Jake Gendron is a person that does person stuff
What makes me unique is my individuality. I choose to dress the way I want and listen to the music I like. I choose to be an outcast because I don't want to be someone I'm not. I'm an individual person and nobody in the world can take that away from me. The music I listen to is heavy metal, deathcore, metalcore, punk rock, classic rock, and post hardcore. Some of my favorite bands are Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria, Slipknot, Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, Sleeping With Sirens, AC/DC, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Green Day, Murderdolls, Bring Me The Horizon, Hollywood Undead, and The Devil Wears Prada. I play guitar, draw, and sing in my free time. I love kittens, pizza, tacos and Skyrim. My favorite drink is Arizona tea. Also, I am a huge gamer, and I frequently rage quit to 99.99% of the games I play. I'm glad to be here at CT. Also, bullying isn't cool. If you bully anyone, you're the real loser
seven
What makes me unique is that I'm from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and something a lot of people don't usually do is go to a lot of professional baseball games if they are exceptionally close like Arizona, Nevada, Kansas, etc. The reason I go to a lot of professional baseball games is because 2 of my cousins play professional baseball and I can get into most games for free or low priced and I get special treatment. I play baseball and I play every position except pitcher, catcher, and 1st base. I travel to California and Pennsylvania every summer to visit family and old friends.
Freshmen Goals
My goals for my freshmen year are to learn better study habits, learn good note taking skills and I would like to strive for a 4.0 GPA. I would like to be a well rounded student with having a life out of school. One thing that makes me different or unique is that outside my life at school I am in a competitive dance company and I am also on the poms team here at school. I hope to become a well rounded person not only just my freshmen year but for the rest of my life.
New Cougar
What makes me different and unique? Well, I'm me, indescribable. I'm a girl with many different obstacles that have been overtaken and controlled. No one will ever be me because no one will ever have the same experiences as me. No one will be able to see my family the way I do. I am my own person. I have my own personality, perspectives, and beliefs. People may have the same beliefs, but they won't have the same reasons and background knowledge. No one can change me. I've been taught to never let people get to me. My background is unlike other peoples. My family, my friends, my house, my pets, that's what has made me who I am. Yeah, people may have the same things. But, they don't have the same details as to why they are made from that.
The highschool life of a young mexican
In the relationship between all the freshmen i find my self very alike but different in my own way. I consider myself to really think differently and outside the box. For this year as a freshman, my main goals are to make good grades, obviously. Then considering the fact its high school, i'm doing my best to getting used to it and fitting in, which i think i'm doing a good job at. My last and one of the most important goals to me is to do well in sports.
The New One! At CT
Some of my goals freshman year are to make A's and B's. I also want to get involved and sign up for a lot clubs and sports. I also play volleyball for the school on the JV team i was very happy about that! And i love my dog Max!
FRESHIE FISH
My goals for freshman year are to become a better person. To grow in knowledge and understanding. I want to live in good morals while still living a fun teenage life. I want good grades, to represent my hard work. Overall my biggest goal is to graduate happy, and prepared.!
